Along Nevsky Avenue
Nevsky Prospect is the main street of the city, without which it is impossible to imagine Petersburg. Walking on it, you will unwittingly move in time, dipping into not only the 300-year history of the city, but also the history of the whole Russian Empire. Signs on houses, names of bridges and crossing streets will remind you of the lessons of history, about the books read by Russian authors, in a word about everything you know about your country.
Nevsky Prospect Street is very long, taking its origin at the Alexandrovsk Garden and ending at the foot of the monument Alexander Nevsky, standing at the entrance to the ensemble of Alexandro-Nevskaya Lavra. Passing it all is quite tedious, so we recommend to choose the part lying in the heart of the city - from the Square of the Uprising to the Admiralty. The latter, by the way, will be visible from anywhere in the street, it is not only an interesting fact, but also a beautiful reference point, looking at which you definitely will not get lost in the way.
